One way is to participate in the Chapter Exchange workshop at APA’s Annual Congress. This is an interactive session filled with opportunities to network with your peers from APA’s 149 local chapters. Another way is to attend APA’s Chapter Leadership Seminars, which are offered to chapter officers two or three times a year. Only two officers per chapter are allowed to attend a session and spaces are limited, so register early. Local APA chapter officers and members can also network using the CHAMPS Mentor Program referral service. This program sets up a communication tool between APA local chapter members. Those who need help are referred to individuals who have volunteered to mentor chapters in a specific area or with specific challenges.
