CIBA stands for the Commercial Industrial Building Owners Alliance. CIBA was founded in 1993 in California and was originally referred to as the California Industrial Building Owners Alliance. CIBA is a Purchasing Group (PG) that utilizes the engineering and underwriting facilities of Affiliated FM Insurance Company, American International Group (AIG), Hartford, and several other AM Best A rated carriers. CIBA has been a leading insurance program in California for over 10 years. The CIBA program is widely accepted by lenders for real estate owners, and is considered the preeminent insurance program for property owners. Coverage provided by the CIBA program meets and exceeds most all loan requirements. CIBA is NOT an insurance company. CIBA Insurance Services negotiates with insurance carriers participating in the program for the most favorable coverage and premiums, and acts as administrator of all of the programs.
