How long will my Piggy BedSpread last?
We started this venture 2 years ago and we’re still using some of our early prototypes. They really don’t show any significant wear yet. If you follow the care instructions on our website, we believe you can expect them to last conservatively 24 months, but quite possibly longer than that. Fleece is all polyester and “pills” with wear but doesn’t really “wear” out. The absorbent layer is a special absorbent textile engineered to hold up under hundreds of home washings. The barrier component of my spreads is medical grade, and the company states its duty cycle is, “300 commercial launderings or 1000 home launderings while maintaining suppleness and impermeability.” When compared to consumable bedding options such as Carefresh or Aspen Pine shavings, Piggy BedSpreads will definitely save you money in the long run. PLUS they’re GORGEOUS!
