Does solar power damage environment?
Harnessing solar energy does no damage whatsoever, but indirectly, we still must use some fossil fuels to manufacture and set up solar cells , such as the plastics used and transport , etc.But this quickly becomes insignificant when the free, zero carbon electricity flows.Large arrays of solar cells may have some effect on flaura and fauna, but they are usually in low vegatation, desert areas, and the snakes and lizards probably enjoy the shade they provide. In any case, it does a lot less damage than drilling for oil and gas.
