Whats Cotton Candy?

Cotton candy or candy floss and fairy floss as it’s know as in other parts of the world is made mostly of granular sugar, food colouring and a bit of flavouring. The floss is poured out of a half gallon carton much like the popular milk and juice cartons. It opens the same way and pours out dry. The floss is poured into the opening of the cotton candy machine. The machine spins the floss to an outside heat chamber. It’s there that the floss is melted and is also forced through tiny holes. As it comes out the other side it quickly cools into a light cotton like consistency into a large bowl. The operator then uses a cone to gather the newly transformed sugar into a huge almost head sized treat. The floss is very easy to use and the container simply folds back up into a closed position. It’s hard to judge how many cones we get out of one carton but I will state that a six pack carton, the amount they are sold and delivered in, lasts us about four hours of continued use.
