Are color-enhanced mulches safe?
Our environmentally friendly colored mulches are made of ten percent virgin wood products. They contain no ground pallets or construction demolition. They are colored with an iron oxide-based colorant (red and brown) that is non-toxic and safe for plants. The black is a carbon-based product, which also is non-toxic. Both colorants are naturally occurring materials in the environment.
