What is a Theme Community?
Theme communities at Kent State University are characterized by their emphasis on special interest programming. These communities offer specifically designed opportunities for students to participate in activities, discussions, and extracurricular events that are related to a designated special interest. Residence Services is the key sponsor of this program. They receive significant support from academic and student affairs colleagues from different offices and departments in hosting these various opportunities. There is no required course work linked to joining a Theme community.
