Are Bald Eagles STILL Endangered?

That really depends on where you live. I think that most answers you got are taking about bald eagles in the lower 48 states. Here in Canada they have been doing very well and in Alaska even more so. Yes, they have been taken off of any watch list and yes, it is still illegal to kill them – and always should be – as they are protected. I recently watched a short video clip of a fellow in Washington state making false mounted eagles. Since it is illegal (ha!) to possess any eagle parts including feathers he makes these of out rough wood carvings and dyed chicken feathers. They look VERY realistic. Eagles and all raptors and owls should always remain on the protected list.
