No — ASTRA-GLAZE-SW® + facings are classified as non-toxic. The only standard for toxicity is the New York City Material and Equipment Acceptance Division (MEA) toxicity requirement where sections of the glazed facings are burned and the smoke is fed into cages with rats and the rats are examined for toxic effects. We have passed this standard. Our approval number is MEA 31-82-M.
