How do magnets relieve pain?
The scientific community has developed many theories about how magnet therapy works, but it has not, as yet, come up with a complete, definitive or universally accepted answer. Magnet therapy works through different mechanisms. However the fact is that it does provide prompt and, in many cases, powerful pain relief for sufferers. For many people it would seem that magnets of the requisite strength promote blood flow to an affected area in any part of the body. The blood carries away toxins and brings in white blood cells, which work to reduce inflammation, swelling and speed relief. All this, of course, tends to reduce pain. Today, magnet therapy has now been officially accepted as a medical procedure in the United Kingdom, other European and Far Eastern countries, the USA and Canada.
