Does goji treat cancer?
A. Nothing concrete is proven so far since no human studies have been done regarding goji and cancer. The LBP-3 polysaccharide isolated from the berry has been shown to have anti-cancer effects. In vitro, the berry has inhibited the growth of leukemia, liver and skin cancer cells. However, goji berry, just as other berries, has compounds in them that may be beneficial in terms of overall health promotion and cancer reduction.
