How to draw Graffiti legally?
By definition, graffiti IS illegal. Graffiti STYLE art is, of course, not illegal. However, those pieces we see on walls that we call graffiti are simple drawing that someone makes large. Some of the “best” ones have usually been very carfully worked out, designed and scaled up with the same care as many established mural artists take. You, too, can also make these large scale statements by practicing on large pieces of cardboard, such as those boxes that refridgerators and othe large appliances come in. You can work out a design on paper, including the colors you may want to use. When done, draw a “grid” over the design, then outline the full scale grid on the mounted piece of cardboard. The grid allows you to recreate your drawing very accurately on the big piece. One advantage of these cardboard graffiti is that you can fold them up and keep them, to put up anywhere you want.
