What is Louisiana like?
Wikipedia has a decent article on New Orleans. It incorrectly states the overall violent crime rate is high (only the murder rate is high, which is due to crack dealers killing each other) and includes some urban-myths about NOLA (such as the idea the city is sinking to the center of the earth).
