In short, the book of Revlelation starts out with the risen Lord Jesus and His message to seven churches that were around at that time. Then it progresses to symbolic as well as actual descriptions of what will happen at the end of this age. At the end it tells us that the Devil will be defeated and thrown into the Lake of Fire and that everyone will stand before God in judgment. Some will inherit the new Heaven and earth to come and some will join the Devil in the Lake of Fire. The Bible starts out with a “very good” creation where there is no sin or death. In chapter 3 of Genesis sin and death come into the world and the very good creation is corrupted.
