What would be included in the Newborn (neonatal) baby check?
A. During a healthy newborn visit, the pregnancy and birth history is reviewed as well as the feeding history. The baby will be examined fully including measuring the weight, length and head circumference, and all body systems such as the chest, heart, pulse, abdomen, umbilicus, hips, eyes, ears, mouth, and genitalia are checked for any congenital abnormalities, or problems such as jaundice or infection.
