How painful is a belly button piercing?
I have my septum and my belly button pierced, and I must say that the belly button piercing hurt the worst. The healing time for my belly button piercing was unusually long also. It was so sore all the time for around six months. I’ve been having it for around two years, and it’s already surfacing. It’s also surrounded by a gross mass of scar tissue. Right now I’m in the process of letting it close so I can get it redone deeper because with the way it surfaced, I was really scared it would get ripped out. :[ & it’s not true that the skinnier you are the more it hurts because I’m quite the chubs and it still hurt me Of my two piercings, the septum was claimed by the piercer to be way more intense, but not for me. I’m actually dreading piercing my belly button again…in fact, I might get a lip piercing instead. My advice to you, is be sure to get a deep enough piercing, and watch out for scar tissue.
