What is the Irvine Swim League?
The non-profit ISL is organized and operated exclusively for providing the various Irvine homeowner association/subdivision swim teams and the 2 city swim teams with the opportunity to join and participate in an ongoing and well organized swim league. The ISL has as its primary goals: • the improvement of swimmer’s self-esteem through improvement in one’s individual performance • the safe teaching of swimming with proper strokes – to promote sportsmanship and improved relationships between swimmers, parents and neighborhoods • to provide friendly and healthy team competition • to introduce the sport of swimming to youngsters and to promote water safety ISL provides liability insurance for all swim team members and coaches for practices and meets, and indemnifies the respective HOA’s.
