What is Fortis Venturing?
Fortis Venturing is the “corporate venturing” system of Fortis. The aim of Fortis Venturing is to develop an innovative business idea into a sustainable business concept, into a business plan and finally into an internally originated start-up or venture. As a stand-alone company funded fully or partially by Fortis Venturing or as a spin-off integrated within a Fortis business. Fortis Venturing wants to realise this in close partnership with every interested Fortis business, supplier, partner or even client. The exact role of Fortis Venturing will depend on the required level of involvement and responsibilities (consulting, sparring partner, project coach, facilitator, networking, etc.) A venture within the scope of Fortis Venturing implies: – The development of new business for Fortis and/or enhancement of existing core business – The generation of a new revenue stream or the reduction of costs, risks or required capital for Fortis – A stand-alone profitability – The need to experiment
