COT stands for Community Outreach Team. Each Precinct has a COT Team that is assigned to work areas needing extra officers that may be experiencing an unusually high occurrence of criminal activity. They also sponsor special activities and projects in their assigned communities that help build a stronger relationship between the police department and the citizens.
