What is a Training and Experience Rating? Is this like a test? Yes.

This type of exam process is a rating of applicant training and experience. Applicants are awarded score points based on their training, experience, and other qualifications (no written examination is required). Since an applicant’s score is based on the information described on the application and supplemental application, it is important that all application materials and responses are thorough, complete and clear. There is a six (6) month waiting period to reapply for the exam same job class. • How will you notify me of my score? Applicants are notified of either a passing score range, a notice indicated you were not successful in the testing process, or an ineligibility notice (did not meet minimum requirements). Notifications are sent according to your selected notification preference on your application (paper or e-mail). • How will I be selected for interview? A list of qualified candidates will be established in rank order of scores obtained during the examination process.
