Are Computing Fabrics just about scalability?
Computing Fabrics address scalability but thats only one small slice of a wide panorama. Improvements in scalability are largely a quantitative change. Computing Fabrics will be a qualitative change (as well as quantitative) in that were no longer talking about networking fixed-architecture systems but seeing system architecture converge with network architecture, with architecture itself ultimately becoming a dynamic variable – Architecture On Demand.
