What is systemic discrimination?
Systemic discrimination occurs when groups of people are excluded from the workplace for reasons unrelated to the job requirements. Entrenched policies and practices that are part of the normal operation of employment systems may unintentionally discriminate against certain people. Often hidden, systemic discrimination has an adverse effect on the four designated groups as well as other employees.
