How are KADIAN® capsules taken?
• KADIAN® capsules offer flexible dosing and administration options that allow physicians to easily fine-tune titration schedules and tailor treatment for individual patient needs • Available in eight capsule strengths (10 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, 50 mg, 60 mg, 80 mg, 100 mg, and 200 mg) • KADIAN® capsules can be taken once or twice a day • KADIAN® capsules can be administered by mouth, via sprinkle dosing, or through a gastric tube Do KADIAN® (morphine sulfate extended-release) Capsules have side effects? • KADIAN® capsules have a low incidence of side effects, most of which are mild to moderate in intensity. Those most commonly reported included drowsiness, constipation, nausea, dizziness, and anxiety2 • KADIAN® capsules are a Schedule II narcotic. As with other morphine-containing controlled substances, there is a potential risk of abuse with KADIAN® capsules. Serious adverse reactions that may be associated with the use of KADIAN® capsules are similar to those with other opioid analgesics
