What is an unfair labor practice charge?
An unfair labor practice occurs when the statutory rights of a public employee, public employer, or employee organization are violated. Pursuant to Section 447.503 of the Florida Statutes, an employer, employee, or employee organization can file an unfair labor practice charge with PERC for an employer or union’s violation of any of the provisions of Section 447.501 of the Florida Statutes.
