In principle, a BICON-PLUS® cup insert should only be used with a ball head of the same size manufactured by Plus Orthopedics. The following hard/hard pairings are permitted: • METAL/METAL: BICON-PLUS® metal PLUSMET® /PE cup inserts may only be paired with PLUSMET® ball heads. • CERAMIC/CERAMIC: BICON-PLUS® ceramic BIOLOX® forte/PE cup inserts may only be paired with BIOLOX® forte ball heads. The following hard/soft pairings are available: • POLYETHYLENE/METAL: BICON-PLUS® PE cup inserts may be used with any metal or ceramic ball heads of the same size manufactured by Plus Orthopedics. • POLYETHYLENE/CERAMIC: BICON-PLUS® PE cup inserts may be used with any metal or ceramic ball heads of the same size manufactured by Plus Orthopedics.
