What are SARCAN’s “Three Es”?
At SARCAN, we are very proud of our “Three Es”: • Employment Creation – SARCAN employs people of all abilities; the majority of our employees are either persons with disabilities or those formerly on Social Assistance • Environmental Protection – on average, SARCAN recycles over 300 million beverage containers each year, which keeps 18,000 tonnes of waste out of Saskatchewan landfills • Economic Development – each year, SARCAN returns over $35 million in deposit refunds to the people of Saskatchewan, and almost 90% of our $18 million operating budget is spent in Saskatchewan
