How are the clicks geo-targeted?
We have partnered with an industry leader in generating quality local leads to bring you Guaranteed Clicks. Leads are targeted in a combination of three ways. First, most search engines allow you to target to the DMA level based on the users’ Internet Protocol (IP) address. This is not always enough, though, as most IP addresses are mapped to the location of a consumers’ Internet Service Provider. Next, we use a strategy of geographic modifier keywords to further fine-tune a campaign to individual towns and locations. These two levels of “screening” allow us to cast a wide enough net to find interested searchers while still narrowing our focus to a regional basis. Finally, the ad copy we create uses best practices to position the geographic target of the product or service offered, so that only consumers who decide that the stated geography is relevant to them will tend to click on the ad.
