A29: At this time, frequency of testing is not addressed in the CPSIA, and so testing frequency is still the decision of the importer. Certain retailers, however, do mandate their own testing frequency. CPSIA does require the CPSC to define a reasonable testing program by November, and this reasonable testing program may include testing frequency requirements.
