i’m not sure what you mean by origins of dairy farming but if what you are asking is where did dairy cows originate from there are a few different locations the origin of the dairy cow varied from breed to breed. The Ayrshire breed originated in Ayr, Scotland the Brown Swiss breed originated in Switzerland the Guernsey breed originated in the Isle of Guernsey and the English Channel the Holstein breed originated in Holland the Jersey breed originated on the Isle of Jersey, England and the Milking Shorthorn originated in the Tees River Valley in England.
