European Mobility Charter?
The European Mobility Charter outlines a set of guidelines applicable to mobility undertaken by young people or adults. It has been designed as a basic reference document, on the recommendation of the European Parliament and Council. A copy was provided in each delegate pack and can be found in the Annexes to this report. The charter stresses that academic recognition should be given by the home institution for study completed abroad and the students applauded this. They hoped that the Charter, if used and acknowledged across Europe , could lead to consistency in the use of Learning Agreements and the application of ECTS. The most useful result of the European Mobility Charter would be that it could raise awareness of the programme and encourage more students to participate.
