What is Tanzanite Account?
Tanzanite account is a savings account designed to facilitate Tanzanians living abroad to save their excess income in Tanzania for future spending or investment. The account can be opened in Tanzanian shillings (TZS), US dollars (US$), Pound Sterling (GBP) and Euros. The account holder or a designated person through the Power of Attorney can make deposits while abroad or in Tanzania. Withdrawals can be made while in Tanzania or abroad. The account gets a higher interest rate than that paid in normal savings account and facilitates withdrawals from abroad.
