This appointment puts the Guardian in charge of money, bank accounts, investments, homes and other real estate owned by the incapacitated person .Among the their many responsibilities the Guardian must make sure routine monthly bills are paid on time, checkbooks are balanced and insurance claims are submitted for reimbursement and making sure the individual receives all the financial benefits to which they are entitled, such as Social Security Medicare, Medicaid, disability, insurance and pensions.
