How does ECM help local African churches?
When a local church or group of churches recognizes a need to establish, revitalize or strengthen a children’s or youth ministry, they can ask ECM for help. As funds and personnel are available, ECM will send a teacher trainer or a team to a village or church for one to two weeks to train people chosen by the churches to become children’s Bible teachers. ECM asks the sponsoring church to invite other Bible-believing churches in the vicinity so that they also have the opportunity to profit from the training. ECM’s training includes daily practice sessions in which trainees go out onto the streets and teach children. After the training, the Sunday school is under the control of its own local church, but ECM trainers are available for further help and encouragement. Every Child Ministries has also established Teachers’ Resource Libraries to provide a wide variety of teaching materials on a loan basis to churches. Some who cannot come to the Resource Libraries may find help by accessing EC
