What is the Tioga Power Project?
The Tioga Power Project is a significant upgrade of the network of power lines and equipment that supply electrical energy to Manchester, Bedford and the surrounding communities. The project will involve building a new transformer substation in Bedford and a new switching substation in Merrimack. In support of these two new substations, PSNH will replace an aging 34.5 kV line with a new 115 kV line from Merrimack to Bedford to Manchester and rebuild an existing 115 kV line from Derry/Londonderry to Manchester.
