What pipette calibration services does the UIC offer?

0

The UIC offers pipette calibration services that are compliant with ISO 8655-6 and DIN 12650 Standards of Gravimetric Test Methods for Piston-Operated Volumetric Instruments. The UIC cleans, replaces the seals and O-rings on pipettes, and calibrates most pipettes. Due to the vast range of brands and models, it is not feasible to maintain an expensive inventory of repair parts such as pistons, shafts, plungers, etc. The UIC uses a balance capable of measuring micrograms to calibrate 200 microliter pipettes and under. A 10 ^-5 balance is used for 1000 microliter pipettes and up. Quick turn around is possible for a few pipettes; but a week or so is the normal turn-around time, because this is only one of many services, and the work must be fit in around the existing schedule.
