What are valid reasons for not filing timely?
If a patient’s eligibility is retroactively determined, or there is evidence to show that the provider or beneficiary was prevented from filing time based on administrative error, or the patient’s inability to communicate because of physical disabilities or mental incompetence or delays by the other insurance as long as the claim was filed with the other insurance prior to the filing deadline.
