The only part that (to me, but I have a high pain tolerance) really could be called painful is the area directly over the veins, and (if your tattoo wraps that far), the sides, over the small bone spurs at the sides of your wrists. Overall it’s not horribly painful. My ribs hurt FAR worse than my wrists.
