When the syrup is bottled in the sugarhouse, it is checked for density, color and flavor. We bottle all the syrup at 180 degrees Fahrenheit, the food safe temperature required by the FDA. The syrup will have a warm amber color, usually a medium amber grade. There won’t be any sediment on the bottom of the bottle and the syrup won’t be cloudy. You can also count on no messy drips or smudges on the bottles that you’ll have to clean when they arrive. How are the favors shipped? All orders are shipped using UPS Ground Service unless other arrangements are made. What is the cost of shipping? UPS will not take a package over 70 pounds and we feel that a package over 50 pounds is too difficult to handle safely. Most favor orders are large and require more than one box.
