What upgrades is OSF making to its helicopter service?
We’re been working on upgrades for a year and half. One of the investments we’re making is in night goggles for everybody aboard the helicopter. We already have a sophisticated Instrument Flight Rules program, so we’re upgrading the terrain warning system, as well as weather reporting in the cockpit. What kind of new role will you have with the International Association of Flight Paramedics? It’s a huge time commitment. It means daily phone calls, probably traveling once a month or every other month. Our industry is in such flux right now, especially with the recent hearing. What we’re doing today is setting the standard for the industry tomorrow. The fact that I can be someone who says we need to do this better and be safer, it’s the least I can do.
