What colors/breeds/types do rats come in?

Currently there aren’t real breeds like dogs or cats, but there are many interesting varieties of rats that many people are unaware of. Common colors (like the ones found in pet stores) are agouti, black, beige, and albino in the common patterns of solid, Berkshire, and hooded. Other colors are champagne, chocolate, blue, Russian Blue, mink, platinum, silver, amber, cinnamon, blue agouti, fawn, pearl, lilac, and merle. Other markings are variegated, capped, bareback, banded, cap-stripe, collored, van, and dalmatian. Another variety often seen is Siamese/Himalayan, which is a type of partial albinism seen is many types of animals. (The Himalayan being lighter-colored.) Dumbo rats are VERY popular for their cute faces and wonderful personalities. There are also tailless rats, hairless rats, several types of Rex (curly coated) rats, and a few other types are being developed by dedicated breeders as well.
