Why is KBS entering the non-traded REIT space?
The investment strategy historically has been to buy value added and opportunistic real estate which may present additional risk, yet offer substantial long-term net returns to the investors. During the past two years we have seen the strong interest from individual investors to invest in real estate opportunities that are similar to the investments made by financial institutions and pension funds. The non-traded REIT gives the private investor that opportunity. We are confident we can acquire stabilized high-quality core real estate assets and give the private investor the same quality of investment management of real estate assets as we have with major institutions. 5.
