What is a Tapu?
A Tapu is a document witch shows that you are the owner of a property. Every property transfer is cadastral registered. In Turkey the commitment of a notary do not oblige and moreover lay the property Right and the recording in the land register a lot are more complicated than in the U.K The purchaser receives the Tapu after property transfer. This is a certificate of registration at the land register. First we send the papers to the regional Tapu office then the papers will be sending to the military in Izmir to check that the property is not build in a military zone. Between the 2 and 4 months the transfer of the Tapu can be arrange and you are the owner of your house in Turkey. Pay attention to, a lawyer, notary or someone else can never deliver Tapu. 05.
