Is Sauna good for the skin?
A traditional Finnish sauna is by far the best way to clean your skin, hands down. If you’re at a public sauna I would recommend the following for the deepest cleanse possible: 1) Take a shower first and enter the sauna. 2) Sit in there on the top bench for as long as possible, your skin will be warming up and becoming supple. Drink about a liter of water on this first round. 3) Head back to a warm shower and scrub down with a well made, firm loofah for a good exfoliation. I mean really get it going! I do this IN my sauna at home but at a public sauna I do it in the shower out of respect for the other bathers. 4) Head back for another good sweat. You’ll sweat like never before and you skin will be cleaner that you ever imagined it could be. Stick it out until you get forced out! 5) Go hit an ice cold rinse in the shower and head back for one more round. 3 rounds is the traditional number for an authentic Finnish experience. (Also, on this third round you can put a pea sized amount of g
