All grain buyers, not just elevators, are required to be licensed and bonded if they buy grain in Minnesota and don t use this grain to feed their own livestock or as seed for crop production. Anyone storing grain for others must have a state or federal storage license and a state or federal storage bond. Grain banks storing grain for others to be returned as animal feed requires a grain bank license and a grain bank bond if the warehouse is not licensed as a storage warehouse.
