The Wyoming Pollutant Discharge Elimination System regulates the discharge of pollutants through a point source to surface waters of the state. The discharge of process or waste waters is regulated under WYPDES wastewater permits, while the discharge of storm water from industrial, mining and construction (one acre or larger) is regulated under one of several general storm water permits.
