An expedited passport is a passport that has been applied for and is needed on an urgent basis, so the process of issuing the passport is speed up. Expedited passports can genrally cut the time in atleast half and up to a quarter of the time taken usually, depending on where you apply for your passport and the backlog of other passports. The only downside about expedited passports is the extra cost.
