A – As a result of economic sanctions by the EU and US Gov all credit cards (including traveler checks) – AMERICAN EXPRESS, DINERS, VISA, MASTER – will not be accepted to settle any monetary transactions from and to Myanmar. Please be advised that US$ cash is accepted widely in all parts of country. We suggest that you bring USD notes in small and big denominations. US$ 100 bills with CB numbers are not welcome in Myanmar.
