What is a laser printer drum?
Some laser printers have a drum that transfers toner from the toner cassette to the paper. After a while, the drum no longer works and must be replaced. However, other printers have a combined toner cassette/drum. In that case, there is of course no separate drum to be replaced. Colour laser printers use four drums, one per colour. Depending on the make and model, drums print 3000 to 100,000 pages.
