IDEAS is a multi-book system. “Multi-currency” software generally means that the system can transact in a number of currencies. However, there is a distinction between a transacting in multiple currencies and having a set of financial books in multiple currencies. Many systems resolve transactions to a single reporting currency. This does not work for many companies. Most multi-national operators have reporting requirements in three, four or more currencies. IDEAS allows any number of reporting currencies.
