Who is the worst TV manufacturer?

I’d have to say that any “off-brand” or “el cheapo Wal-Mart special” TV would be the worst one to buy. When you buy them and take them home they will play pretty much like any other model. The problems happen when the TV breaks for the first time; this is where you’ll finally learn the difference between a cheap brand and a major brand. The major brand manufacturer will have authorized repair centers in or near your town, and they will be able to get all the electronics diagrams, tools and parts they need to fix your TV (especially if it’s under warranty). The repair will take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the problem. If you got the cheap “no-name” brand then your experience may be a lot different: the cheap manufacturers usually don’t do as good of a job on supplying parts and diagrams, so even IF the shop can repair it it will likely take *MUCH* longer. I’ve seen TV’s spend 2 or 3 months in the shop just for this reason alone. Bottom line: stay FAR away
